I guess I fight Django and resolve the BBDBA in the morning and then fight the two games against Karsten in the arvo.

Are you free morning or afternoon Django?

Regards, Lyle

P.S. The vultures circle when they see the crippled lion!

Battle of Epicageddon
The 4 player BBDBA(4/6) was truly Epic. A die off decided the sides: Timur and Damian vs Lyle and Stephen (New Kingdom Egypt & Mitanni v Assyrians and Hittites).

The NKE faced off against the Assyrians, never defeated Ramses vs whomever Lyle was meant to represent. It was the first face-off between the Mitanni and Hittites - and concluded extraordinarily fast.

The vaunted Mitanni chariots had left behind their north-weather tyres, packed no airbags, and were destroyed, demoralised and routed in two rounds without loss.

On the other side of the battlefield the NKE resisted the Assyrian's charge before bow, blade and random number generators crushed Lyle's wheels and the Assyrian's fled without inflicting any casualties.

It was then a race to reform battle lines 90 degrees. NKE archers inflicted early casualties on the Assyrians before being replaced in line by skirt wearing swordsmen. Progressive is Ramses, too. The Hittites barreled in once, and failed, and a second time, running over not-yet-paid Sherden mercenaries and encircling Ramses himself who, in a pheat of pharonic phantasic, shifted into Third and burst out of the trap. More Hittites fell and the remainder turned, leaving the New Kids on the Block in sole possession of the battlefield*.

* The Mitanni having aided nothing to the victory and NKE with an 11-1 kill ratio had proven that they won on their own.

Wow! Epicageddon reads like a great battle and quite amusing. Wish I could have stuck around to witness it for myself. I look forward to the tall tales about it at next month's meeting.

A photo from one of the games with Lyle:

Definitely need more (any!) bow, and my pike can't even handle Auxilia in the open.

double up the pike (6 v 3) in at least one spot against foot - shifting the one against the Lch would be it, and yes, paint the bow.
