Hi Folks,

I'm Steve and I've just moved back to Melbourne.

I'm looking for a game of either Flames of War or Bolt Action at the 15 Dec game day.

I have both Russian and German forces for both games.

Looking forward to meeting you all

Steve

Welcome Steve. Iím probably booked for that date.

What version (v3 or v4) or period you prefer for Flames?

Thereís one or two that play BA, but Flames hasnít been played for a little while, but many of us have armies.

Hi, Sorry - password problems.

LW or MW V4 .... it's what was popular in Amsterdam, where I was introduced to wargaming.

Most of the people who still play prefer version 3 as V4 sucks.

Hi Steve

I am very fond of Bolt Action and so maybe a January game would be great, I am already booked up for December. The LoA is a very friendly and welcoming club so I am sure that if you rock up next weekend and make yourself known, then there will be no shortage of potential opponents in various systems. FoW has not been played at the LoA for a number of years, but there are many WW2 enthusiasts about at the LoA who use different rules systems.

cheers
Mark

Hi Ian,

Whilst I'd love a game, I got invited to the Vet's lunch on Sunday and so cannot now play.

Would you care for a game in the new year?

I have both a Russian and a German force. Is there a problem here playing Russian vs Russian or some such?

Have a good one

Steve

Steve

Are you still up for Bolt Action on 19 January? I am happy to run either British Paras 1943-45 or German Grenadiers 1941-1945. Let me know your preference if you are still up for it - I personally prefer to play with historical opponents if possible.

cheers

Hi Mark,

Apologies, I have patchy access to email as I'm interstate.

Sorry, can't make the 19th. I guess the next game day is the 2nd? How about then?

Do you have a preference who you'd like to play? I like running out both of mine now and then. I guess I'd prefer to play as USSR first.

What sort of points/order dice limit do you like playing?

Happy new year
Steve

Steve

My Germans are in Winter kit so happy to play the Ruskies on the early Feb meeting. I will bring along my Winter terrain too.

cheers

Hi Mark,

Cool looking forward to it.

My guy's be cold - they're painted in summer uniform ... luckily Comrade Stalin breed's 'em tough! Thanks for bringing scenery, in Amsterdam we used club scenery - I'll buy the beer!

750 points/10 order dice? Any local taboos I need to know? Eg, turn up with a tank and you get burnt at the stake? Or some such?

When you say early Feb, do you know the date? On the 9th I'm "grounded" - they block off my building for the StKilda festival and I can't get out, or for that matter, back in! However, it is fun - they normally put a bar just outside my front door!

No worries Steve

No real taboos as far as I am concerned. I am happy to run early war (1939-41), mid war (1942-43) or late war (1944-45) at your option. We usually run 1000 points lists but if you are more comfortable with 750 points that is okay too.

cheers
Mark
